Launching the 60th Anniversary Exhibit

Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Peace Corps!

Please join the virtual opening of the MPCE exhibition, Peace Corps at 60: Inside the Volunteer Experience, at the Katzen Art Center, American University. The virtual display showcases beautiful and unique objects brought home by Peace Corps Volunteers and the fascinating stories about how they were acquired in remote villages and communities around the world.

This unusual exhibition opens on March 3, 2021.  That evening at 7 PM EST, Sylvia Matthews Burwell, president of American University; Carol Spahn, acting director of Peace Corps; and Glenn Blumhorst, president of the National Peace Corps Association will offer welcoming remarks.  The event will include a video tour of the AU Museum exhibit installation.

Watch for an email about registering for the opening event, along with news about touring this virtual exhibit. The exhibit will be installed until August 9, 2021 and when American University campus opens once again, in-person visitors will be welcome.
