A major exhibition celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Peace Corps will be installed at American University (AU) Museum, Katzen Arts Center, Washington, D.C., from January – August, 2021. The exhibition is hosted by the Museum of the Peace Corps Experience and curated by Jack Rasmussen, Director and Curator of AU Museum.
Highlighting the volunteer experience, the exhibit features objects collected by volunteers during their years of service. Stories — micro-memoirs of volunteer experiences — accompany the objects. The costs associated with the virtual exhibit and the catalog are estimated to be $15,000. The Museum of the Peace Corps Experience will be initiating a campaign to raise these funds by January 2021.
