With Great Projects Come Bigger Budgets

The Museum of the Peace Corps Experience has much to celebrate.

Through the efforts of twenty volunteers contributing thousands of hours, we have assembled museum artifacts, collected dozens of stories, mounted exhibits, and reached out to thousands of former Volunteers, friends and families.

From March through August 2021, as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Peace Corps, we will co-host an exhibit at American University Museum that illuminates the powerful role of service in promoting world peace.

After 20 years of hard work to bring our vision into reality—next year the Museum of the Peace Corps Experience will have physical exhibit space in Washington D.C. at Peace Corps Place, the new National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) headquarters.

With our expanded activities, our expenses increase. Besides ongoing costs of renting storage space, licensing software, and enhancing our website, in 2021 we must purchase exhibit cases, print an exhibit catalog, register and catalog our collections, and invest in more technology.

Between the upcoming projects, moving into a physical space and our recurring operating needs, our early 2021 financial need stands at $37,500 – our highest budget yet.

Our goals are ambitious, but with your help we’ll see more Museum dreams come true!
