Having helped stage exhibits about Afghanistan (where I served in the 1970s) in the 1980s and 1990s, I was pleased to play a small part in helping start the MPCE in the early 2000s. It amazes me to see how the Museum has grown and I admire those who have led its efforts. Just as the Peace Corps experience has left its impressions and influence on my own life and career–and the lives of those people served by the Peace Corps worldwide–the Museum will continue to build bridges and add substance to the appreciation of the roles PC volunteers have played since we began our work six decades ago.
Is this exhibit still available? If so, can you give an excat addres and hours?
This exhibit was taken down after it appeared in 2001. Many objects are still available in Portland, Oregon — and there will be new exhibits on the website. If you want more details, please contact Nicola Dino, nicoladino2248@gmail.com.
